My First Two Weeks on Medium. What Have I Learned?

Writing is pretty much my life now

Today is my two-week Mediumaversary. Welcome to it.

After my first week of writing on this platform, I decided it might be useful to both myself and others to relate my experiences thus far. For me, it’s something I can look back on and possibly learn from. For others, it could be a way to compare notes.

In the past two weeks, I have posted 19 articles. That averages to almost 1.4 per day. Of those 19 posts, six have been curated and two were picked up by The Startup, Medium’s largest publication.

In two weeks I have just hit 500 views.

That last factoid is particularly interesting to me. I’ve been blogging on and off here and there for about ten years. Most of my readers have been Facebook friends and because of the way Facebook has now chosen who sees what, I probably only hit a fraction of those folks.

My viewership up until recently has been dismal
